Kadir Samuel

Kadir Samuel was the assistant of Dr. Jerome M. Sattler while studying at San Diego State University. At that time, Dr. Sattler was in the middle of writing his Assessment of Children: Cognitive Foundations, Fourth Edition (2001) and Assessment of Children: Behavioral and Clinical Applications, Fourth Edition (2002). Samuel helped him by composing tables; collecting, sorting, and updating references; finding journal articles and books in the library; and preparing PowerPoint slide presentations.

While working on his Master degree in 2003, Samuel helped Dr. Sattler complete a number of other book projects, including:

• Assessment of Children: WISC–IV and WPPSI–III Supplement (2004)
• Assessment of Children: Behavioral, Social, and Clinical Foundations, Fifth Edition (2006)
• Assessment of Children: Cognitive Foundations, Fifth Edition (2008)
• Assessment with the WAIS–IV (2009)
• Foundations of Behavioral, Social, and Clinical Assessment of Children, Sixth Edition (2014)
• Assessment of Children: WISC–V and WPPSI–IV (2016)

Since 2018, in addition to assisting Dr. Sattler with his writing projects, Samuel became the compositor and one of the production coordinators of Dr. Sattler's books:

• Assessment of Children: Cognitive Foundations and Applications, Sixth Edition (2018)
• Foundations of Behavioral, Social, and Clinical Assessment of Children, Seventh Edition (2022)
• Assessment of Children: Cognitive Foundations and Applications, Seventh Edition (2024)

In early 2024, in preparation for the writing of Assessment with the WAIS-5, Samuel reviewed and wrote abstracts of many articles on aging and dementia under the mentorship of Dr. Sattler. Samuel also worked with Dr. Ron Dumont to complete some chapters and appendixes of Assessment with the WAIS-5.
